LeeAB

Your collection outgrew AnkiWeb.

AnkiWeb caps a collection at 100 MB compressed, 250 MB uncompressed. We start at 5 GB.

AnkiWeb

100 MB

Capped. It does not grow.

LeeAB

5 GB

Grows with your collection.

How it works

  1. Create an account with LeeAB.

Your first three months are free, to help you get familiar with our service.

    app.leeab.net or Sign up FREE
  2. Set up your Anki app.

Point it at our sync server address.

Anki's Self-hosted sync server field filled in with https://sync.leeab.net/
  3. Upload your data.

Upload your collection and media to the new server.

Anki's progress box reading Uploading to AnkiWeb.
  4. Sync from all your devices.

Nothing else changes — the same Sync button, the same everything.

Anki's Syncing box on a phone, counting added, modified and removed cards.

Worried about safety and reliability?

We run the official Anki sync server, unmodified. We have not forked it and we do not patch it. Your collection is stored in the format the official server uses, so you are never locked in: export everything from your dashboard whenever you like, or point Anki back at AnkiWeb and walk away.

A profile is one collection of your cards — the same thing Anki calls a profile on the desktop (File → Switch Profile) and in AnkiMobile's settings. All of your devices share one profile rather than each needing its own, and most people never need a second. More profiles do not give you more space: the storage figure is the total across all of them.
